Didy Veldman is ready to use her expertise building 'Humanoove' into an exceptional dance company.
'Humanoove' is all about exploring and discovering. Developing a theatrical and movement language, collaborate closely with different art forms, work with dancers specifically for each production, avoid to many compromises and create work that is touching, engaging, physical, theatrical, humorous and accessible. We are interested in performing their work in theatres, site specific places, museums and our aim is to always connect on a visceral level to our audiences. We work with highly trained dancers, pushing their boundaries and challenging them to explore each detail of the choreography. We aim to create a generous and honest atmosphere in the studio so as to facilitate personal creativity.
Humanoove toured a new production 'The Knot' throughout the UK, Jersey and Copenhagen in 2018. Following this, we have worked on some Research and Development at DanceEast in Ipswich in May 2019 for a new work called @HOME with two dancers and composer Sabio Janiak. All this is made possible with support from ACE and DanceEast. Humanoove also pitched this new work at Surf the Wave in Bournemouth in May 2019.
Humanoove is supported by Studio Wayne McGregor through the FreeSpace programme, The Linbury Trust, an anonymous donor,Beth Krasna, DanceEast, South East Dance and The Master Charitable Trust-The Marina Kleinwort Trust.
